Wedding Overview

After all the planning and expense, time and legwork required to host a wedding it’s seems a shame to pack everything up after one day. We intend to prolong  the fun through a weekend-long affair, which we hope will serve as a woodland-themed mini-vacation for all who attend.

The ceremony and reception venue is Wellspring Spa and Retreat.  It’s a log cabin resort outside the Southwest entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park (off of Hwy 706).  Although accommodations at the venue will be entirely filled with family and members of the wedding party, we hope you will use our suggestions in the LODGING section to secure a room, rental house, cabin or the like nearby.

Our weekend plans include a wedding rehearsal and cook-out for members of the wedding party (bridesmaids, groomsmen etc.)  and our families on the evening of Friday, August 7. The next morning, Saturday, August 8, everyone else is welcome to join us for either a morning hike around the Wellspring loop trail or yoga on the lawn with Veronica. Starting at 3pm Saturday afternoon at the ceremony site, wedding attendees can enjoy a short meet and greet (with sangria) followed by the ceremony and reception. The following day a Sunday brunch will be available for purchase via Skillet Street Food in the parking lot of Wellspring after which you can stay on site for lawn games or take a short drive to Mt. Rainier Park for a vigorous hike.  Please check our ITINERARY section as the date approaches for specific event times.  Eric and I will be staying through Monday (when I’ll finally have a chance to swim at nearby Alder Lake) and invite all who are interested to stay as long as they like in order to explore all the area has to offer. Plus someone will need to polish off the kegs.
